We are looking for a senior site engineer to join up with an industry leading client of ours based in Leicester on a permanent basis. Inudstrial experience is essential as this project is working on warehouses for the likes of B&Q and Screwfix etc My client are offering an excellent package £80-85k per annum and bonus every year, a company car, private healthcare, company laptop and phone and all expenses. Design review of civils works – looking at VE wherever possible Take offs/ordering/forecasting of all materials, including concrete service yards and office floor slabs; Warehouse floor slab contracts are always LPM, so we only need to worry about line/level/QA on these. Liaise with QS and project teams on tracking material costs. Liaise between the project teams and subcontractors around all aspects of the project, providing technical support and offering ideas and experience Detailed Groundworks Maps where required by the project teams – usually only short term (ie 4-6 weeks). Ensure site engineers have up to date information and generate setting out models where Required. Bits of setting out as required. Take ownership of Earthworks file and QA; EW contractors should work to their agreed ITP but we need to ensure that we have surveys/testing records/testing grid etc all uploaded to procore and check the test results before they’re issued to whoever is doing the validation. Liaise with project teams to create and manage the site Service Avoidance Plan; work with site engineer to update the as-builts on a weekly basis. Be prepared to muck in with general site management duties (ie inductions/basic RAMS sign offs etc) now and then.
