Are you looking for an opportunity where you will forge a career, learn, and take ownership? Have you got a level 3 qualification in childcare? My exclusive client based in Bromley is a well-known and respected childminder who is opening up their own nursery in the heart of Bromley to look after children between the ages of 2-5. You will be working as the deputy nursery assistant. As the Nursery Assistant, you will be working with the Nursery Manager supporting them with new ideas for children's activities and completing handovers when needed if the Nursery Manager isn't around to do so.
This client offers a family feel within the business. The owner set up their business in 2018 after completing their master's in early years education and needing childcare for their child. They currently have built up a clientele of over 100 children with 8 members of staff in 2 buildings who have been with them since day one.
Duties of the Nursery Assistant:
1. Working with the Nursery Manager to construct activity zones for the children to progress them physically and intellectually.
2. Completing thorough and detailed risk assessments on all activities and creating daily reports on the children's progress.
3. Greeting children and parents in the morning and conducting a thorough handover in the evening.
4. Ensuring the environment is kept clean and tidy to lower the risk of hazards and harm to children.
5. Complying with safeguarding regulations and Ofsted guidelines to keep children as safe as possible.
To be considered for the Nursery Assistant:
1. Level 3 minimum in childcare.
2. At least one year of active experience working in a nursery.
3. Calm and collected individual.
4. Ability to perform all basic duties above with experience.
5. A genuine love for working with children and watching them grow!
