We are looking for a Sales and Events Assistant to join our small and busy team on a six month contract. You will play a key role in supporting our events and managing our online shop. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, organised, and loves chocolate! You’ll assist in event coordination, handle customer enquiries, and contribute to website content using WordPress.

Location: Farringdon, London, or hybrid - working from home and in the office
Contract: 6-Month Fixed Term Contract (Full-time or Part-time, 3-4 days/week including Wednesdays and Thursdays)
Salary: £28,808, pro rated
Key responsibilities:
* Website administrative tasks using WordPress, including setting up and updating products and monitoring stock levels
* Managing guestlists and preparations for events
* Liaising with customer service and managing customer requests
* Liaising with suppliers and chocolate makers to collect information and update records
* Providing exceptional customer service during events
* Preparing printed materials, slides and other assets to support events
* Supporting the team with general administrative tasks
* Additional option to contribute to social media content creation
* Some evening and weekend work will be required for events. Additional time worked will be compensated as Time Off In Lieu (TOIL)
Skills and experience
Essential:
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent written communication skills
* Time management, handling lots of competing tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Adaptable and flexible, able to work with a small team and adapt work as needed
* Able to take on responsibility and use initiative
Desirable:
* Experience in event coordination, sales, or customer service
* Experience using wordpress
* Interest in food/chocolate
* Experience using Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud
* Photography experience/skills
* Experience using Excel/Google Sheets
