We are currently recruiting for a Trainee for a Customer Service/Support/Administration role in the Automotive components/industrial fasteners industry.
This is a permanent role from the outset, following successful interview. Working hours are Monday to Thursdays (Apply online only) and Friday (Apply online only).
Role purpose/overview:
* To ensure effective and efficient RFQs (Request For Quotations) to suppliers and quotations to customers.
* To provide effective and efficient assistance to the Business Development Manager, and support to your team.
* Provide excellent customer service and communication throughout the process to customers.
* Assist the Business Development Manager in the generation of additional revenue from existing and new customers.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Administration and control of request for quotations (RFQ’s) from customers for new products and projects.
* Reviewing of customer RFQ’s with Technical team to ensure all relevant information is available and feasible.
* Liaising with Technical team regarding selecting appropriate suppliers for projects from current approved supplier files.
* Administration and control of request for quotations (RFQ’s) to suppliers for new products and projects.
* Reviewing of supplier quotations with technical team to ensure that feasibility documents have been completed and that any issues are addressed.
* Preparation of quotations and pricing schedules to be supplied to the customer.
* Participation in NPI and technical reviews between customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
* Maintain correct customer and business information.
* Liaise with Customers, Suppliers, Technical, Warehouse and Quality Departments.
* Ensure smooth handover of products/projects to customer service and material planning teams.
* Ensure emails and other correspondence are professional, contain the appropriate information whilst remaining concise.
* Prompt answering and addressing of email and telephone enquires.
* Assisting the Commercial & NPI team with other tasks and duties necessary for the smooth running of the department.
* General administration.
Candidate specification:
* Fluency in English, language and written.
* Proficient written, numerical, and verbal skills.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Works well within a team as well as on own initiative.
* Experience of working within an Engineering environment.
* Experience of stock systems and sales order processing.
* IT literate with a very good understanding of MS Office & Teams applications (Word, Excel & Outlook).
