New Directions is currently recruiting for a number of P.E Teachers to work with our Secondary schools in the following areas-
1. Neath Port Talbot
2. Swansea
3. Carmarthenshire
4. Pembrokeshire
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and charismatic candidate who will be expected to have a fun and outgoing approach to teaching, with a sense of humour and a strong classroom presence.
The right candidate will also provide a creative and exciting learning environment whereby pupils are motivated and encouraged to show ambition, to maximise their potential, and to embrace all aspects of school life to develop a wide-ranging skill set.
This role requires a Qualified Teachers Status (QTS)
Job Requirements include:
5. A passion for raising student expectations and achievements
6. The ability to build strong working relationships with staff and pupils
7. The ability to remain up to date with educational developments and changes whilst undertaking the role
8. Eligible to work in the UK
9. In possession of a clear DBS with the update service and registered with the EWC
Job Specification
We have regular supply teaching jobs for Physical Education (PE) Teachers available to qualified teachers who can teach Key Stage 3 (KS3), Key Stage 4 (KS4) and possibly Key Stage 5 (KS5).
Newly qualified teachers (NQTs) looking for teaching work in PE should also register with us.
As a PE Teacher you’ll be expected to:
10. Teach all areas of your subject specialism
11. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
12. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
13. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
14. Maintain discipline
15. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
16. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
17. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
18. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
