Anderson Knight has an excellent new role for a Commercial Contracts Manager /Senior Quantity Surveyor for our client who are a Leading Multi Utilities business to be based out of Glasgow, This role would suit someone looking for a part time 3 days a week opportunity,
You will have a Degree in quantity surveying and commercial management accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
The role is responsible to ensure the business gets the best possible service and value from their supplier network, as well as ensuring all service providers are compliant and continue to meet contractual obligations and business needs. You will focus on providing the necessary pre and post contract and commercial support on a range of one off and programmes of work. You will be able to combine strong commercial acumen with well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills with demonstrable experience to support the business.
•\tClient and supply chain contractual management
•\tIdentifying risks, opportunities and any required actions
•\tManagement of client compensation event process, compensations, penalties, contractual rates increase. Management contractual and certification of supply chain
•\tOversee and involvement in site operational processes such as measure, compensation event identification, cost base management
•\tMaintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
•\tManage contract negotiations with a focus on negotiations, discrepancies, compensation events, potential penalties.
•\tAssess risks involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met and be ready to handle unexpected situations
•\tAnalysing projects, e.g. impact on timing, revenue and gross profit of changes to supply chain and client rates
•\tManagement and reporting of project prelims
•\tSupporting the tender and estimating team as and when required
•\tDevelop accurate and consistent bids with the help of relevant departments
•\tManage QS teams working alongside with Ops Manager to ensure the fluid collaboration and support
BSc/BEng in business administration, engineering or relevant field
Degree in quantity surveying or quantity surveying and commercial management accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
• Excellent commercial acumen and contract management skills
• Excellent knowledge of contractual agreements and law
• Experience in a similar role at a similar level
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Contract drafting and writing skills
• Full driving licence
