The Field Service Engineer role will initially comprise mainly of carrying out inspections of products and systems the company has installed with their customer base. These inspections will consist of:
* Checking alignments on gearboxes
* Checking bolt tightness
* Check critical welds on lifting mechanisms
* Checking mechanical seals for leaks or wear
* Checking limit switches
You will then be required to put together reports from these inspections which recommend any follow-up servicing and repair work required.
You will also be responsible for carrying out PPMs on equipment under service contracts with customers.
The work will be spread throughout the UK, and most of the inspection and service work will be carried out over one to two-day visits to customer sites.
The Candidate
To be successful in your application for this Field Service Engineer role you will need:
* Mechanical fitting skills
* Some fabrication skills for repair work required.
* The ability to fault find and repair on mechanical systems
* Basic electrical fault finding exposure
* To be happy to travel and work throughout the UK
* To be commercially minded to spot new opportunities with customers during site visits
