High performance Bates saddles Arena Saddles and easy-care Wintec saddles have earned a reputation for excellence and innovation with many patented creative solutions for optimising horse and rider performance.
Inspired by the success achieved internationally where our knowledgeable saddle experts have been empowered to support retailers directly, we have a dedicated UK team based in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire to distribute Arena, Bates and Wintec products to UK retailers.
The Saddlery Brands International team take a customer service driven approach, offer saddle fitting advice, industry leading training programmes and community focussed strategies that will work in conjunction with our extensive marketing support to generate strong sales growth with our retail partners.
The role of Business Development Account Manager is key to the company’s exceptional customer service delivery and commercial success. Working in a field-based role covering an initial short period of 6-8 months in the North or England. This territory will then be focused on supporting Norway, Sweeden, Denmark, based in the UK and travelling to Europe as required. Being part of a small effective team you will be responsible for driving business growth through our retail partners.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about horses and has experience in saddle fitting, a saddle fitting qualification would be beneficial. Responsibilities
1. To exceed budgeted sales targets on Arena, Bates & Wintec and develop business with an established base of retail customers in your territory by:
2. Developing strong business relationships with all retailers
3. Identifying and maximising all sales opportunities within your territory
4. Developing and implementing sales and marketing plans for each of our retailers to grow sales of Arena, Bates & Wintec
5. Delivering training and saddle fitting advice to retailers
6. Working on Arena, Bates & Wintec stands at key equestrian events to promote our products to riders
Experience & Knowledge
7. Experience in business to business sales
8. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
9. Saddle fitting qualification would be beneficial
10. Strong negotiation skills and ability to overcome objections
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
11. A proven track record of developing business opportunities and exceeding sales targets in a field based sales role
12. UK based with full capability to travel to Europe ideally with knowledge of Denmark, Sweeden and Norway.
13. Ability to communicate in Danish or Swedish language (or both) would be beneficial.
14. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
15. Strong business acumen and understanding of equestrian retail
16. Excellent time management and organisation skills
17. A high level of drive, self-motivation and be an effective team player
18. A passion for the equestrian industry and ideally an understanding of the importance and principles of saddle fitting, a saddle fitting qualification would be beneficial.
