About the Role
As the IT Support Architect, you will work closely with customer service teams, product teams, infrastructure teams, business analysts, and project staff to improve service efficiency and user experience. You will play a key role in developing optimised support models (“design patterns”) to help transition the University towards a product-based, Agile, and continuous improvement-driven IT environment. This role spans across central IT Services and shared digital services provided by University Research Services, Student Systems, Libraries and Museums, and University Administration.
Flexible Working
This role involves significant real-time collaboration with teams across the University and therefore, the role will be predominantly office based. We will consider flexible working arrangements subject to operational needs.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
1. Strong experience in IT service design, support, or ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL, Agile).
2. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
3. A strategic mindset, able to develop and implement standardised IT support processes.
4. A data-driven approach, using research and analytics to drive service improvements.
5. Experience with governance, compliance, and security best practices in IT support.
