Main Responsibility
This is a new role to our Community Pharmacy team which we believe will be absolutely pivotal to the success of field team. You’ll be working within one of our Pharmacies and as the Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for the effective operation of the pharmacy by ensuring the basic operational processes and procedures are adhered too.
You’ll report into the Pharmacist and focus on:
Patient Safety, Quality and Standards
* Supports the Pharmacist with the efficient and effective running of the dispensary
Delivering Outstanding Care
* Helps to prioritise the team’s workload and maintaining an awareness of patient needs & those of the wider Pharmacy environment
* Helps the Pharmacist to maintain the day to day relationship with GPs, practice managers and receptionists
High Performance Team
* Administers and updates basic staffing processes including holiday & staffing rotas
* Helps to ensure that effective communication is maintained across the team so that everyone is updated & aware of latest information
* Coaches and provides feedback to all colleagues – both those in training and those not - in order to develop a skilled workforce
General
* Deputises for the Pharmacist as required
* Supports the delivery of the relevant ‘Performance-on-a-Page’ measures
* Participate in or contribute to other appropriate activities as required by the business
The Ideal Candidate
As a Team Leader, you will thrive on team, patient, and customer interaction, enjoy working at pace and with accuracy as well as be someone who is resilient, who enjoys constant change and challenges. You’ll be motivated by leading a team to deliver tangible and measurable results and adaptable to each day.
Understanding of Community Pharmacy is desirable but not essential, but you will need excellent communication skills, able to build and maintain great relationships with your team and practice personnel as well as good commercial and analytical skills. You’ll be effective at coaching and feedback skills as well as have good planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities & allocate resource effectively.
