Based in Blackpool, although travel to Clinics in the Northwest may be required on occasion. Possibility of Evening work and Home Working.

Hours: Bank contract
Salary: £25.16 per hour
Main duties of the job
The post holder must be able to independently analyse Ambulatory ECGs, Event Monitors, 24 Hour Blood pressure monitors and 12 Lead ECGs. If required, the post holder may need to perform Ambulatory ECG/Blood pressure and 12 Lead ECG clinics.
Job responsibilities
Main Duties And Responsibilities
1. Independently analyse and interpret Ambulatory ECG recordings, Ambulatory BP Recordings and 12 Lead ECG recordings.
2. Organise and prioritise own daily workload based on clinical urgency.
3. Provide a clinical report in a timely manner and inform the referring clinician of any findings that would necessitate a change in clinical management.
4. To analyse and interpret complex information using best practice and make autonomous decisions based on the information provided.
5. Liaise with the Consultant Cardiologist and the referring GP re: Urgent/Abnormal reports.
6. Independently perform ECG/BP clinics when required.
7. Maintain own CPD.
8. To deliver appropriate patient care at all times.
9. To establish and maintain good working relationships with all members of the organisation.
10. To actively take part in the training and development of staff / trainees.
11. To maintain patient confidentiality in line with corporate policy at all times.
12. To ensure that all equipment is in working order and report faults without delay.
13. Be aware of and comply with all health and safety protocols as set out by the organization.
14. The postholder may be required to travel to remote clinical locations (Full UK Driving license is preferable with access to their own vehicle).
15. To ensure all accidents, incidents and complaints are recorded / escalated appropriately.
16. Maintain personal performance and quality standards as agreed in the staff appraisal review.
17. Ensure personal mandatory training is up to date.
18. Attend annual personal appraisal review.
19. Maintain involvement with professional bodies.
20. Participate in resuscitation training to maintain the BLS resuscitation council qualification.

1. Regularly keep colleagues informed of any occurrences that may impact on service delivery.
2. Communicate complicated information effectively within the multi-disciplinary team.
3. Excellent IT skills.
4. Completion of test reports in a timely manner.
5. To ensure the accuracy and legibility of all collected data.

Interpretation Skills Essential
* Able to demonstrate a high level of written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge Essential
* Able to assess normal and abnormal investigations and act appropriately.
Desirable
* Have knowledge in Spacelabs and numbed.
Qualifications Essential
* BSc Hons Clinical Physiology.
* Academy of Healthcare.
* Science or HCPC registration.
Other Essential
* To be able to carry out frequent prolonged periods of concentration.
* Hold a valid UK driving licence with access to their own vehicle.
Experience Essential
* Experience in Holter analysis.
* Able to independently analyse ambulatory recordings.
Desirable
* Experience in a community setting.
* Experience in training.
