Early Learners Nurseries
Location: Northwest
(Areas include: Halton, Merseyside, Wigan, Warrington)
Title: Area Manager (Temporary Fixed Term 12 month)
Full-time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between: 7am-6pm
Flexible to suit the needs of the business
To provide professional leadership and management of Nursery Managers. Give the necessary support and guidance to enable them to deliver the highest standards of care and education within a clearly defined revenue and cost base.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure that all childcare settings are supported and individual childcare needs are being met.
Review the effectiveness of communication between Directors, Managers, Supports Teams, Nurseries, Parents and Carers.
Monitor the equality of access and opportunity in the nurseries.
Review the implementation of childcare policies and procedures
To ensure our curriculum is imbedded in everything we do and practiced to a high standard by all employees.
Ensure that Managers are implementing Health & Safety policies effectively.
Develop open and positive working relationships with childcare teams.
Lead effective supervision, record keeping, data protection and GDPR.
Agree and review individual targets and objectives with childcare Managers.
Provide regular feedback on performance and support childcare Managers.
Oversee and review time and attendance of workforce and payroll of childcare settings.
Be a leader in implementing and delivering high standards in HR, recruitment and deliver appropriate training and development opportunities for workforce.
In conjunction with the childcare Managers, achieve occupancy targets.
Control all settings costs in line with budgets.
Liaise with the operational and financial area of the business to ensure effective use of management systems and information.
In conjunction with childcare Managers, ensure that new nurseries are fully operational for opening.
Plan staffing arrangements.
Oversee the handling complaints and concerns.
Oversee the role of being a safeguarding area office, lead training and support managers.
ICT literate and competent
Ensure that Managers are actively promoting the nurseries, school clubs and participating in marketing activities.

Your history and experience
Childcare Training and qualification(s)
Knowledge and understand of the Ofsted, DfE, Free Early Education, EYFS, SEND, Data Protection,
Safeguarding Level - Procedure in dealing with ‘what to do if you are worried a child has been abused’
Experience with: Payroll, Employment HR, Health & Safety, Risk Assessment,
