Main duties of the job To provide comprehensive medical secretarial support (including medical audio typing) to the clinical staff (Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners (APP), Psychologists, Nurse Clinical Specialists and Consultants) who work within the Enfield Musculoskeletal (MSK) Service. To provide comprehensive administrative support to the MSK Service. This is a responsible post requiring a high degree of accuracy relating to inputting of patient details, self-organisation and own initiative. Excellent communication/organisation skills are required as well as ability to work under own initiative. To understand, operate and maintain numerous clinical booking systems and contribute to a centralised service allowing access for patients through a variety of means such as telephone, email etc. The post also involves adhoc communications with GP's, Consultants, Appointments Officers, other Clinical Departments and other medical/support services, whilst still complying with NMUH privacy policies. Therefore, the post holder must be organised, able to work to strict targets and have excellent communications at all levels and customer care skills.
