Role: Internal Sales Executive / Branch Assistant

Location - Avonmouth, Bristol area
Working hours - Monday to Friday - no weekends
Salary - up to circa £37,000 per annum
Rhodium Consulting is recruiting for an Internal Sales person / Branch Assistant with recent experience in the electrical wholesale industry to join an established branch in the Avonmouth area.
The role will involve working within a small team of people dealing with pricing enquiries, technical queries and sales orders. A proportion of the role will be reactive calls dealing with incoming queries as well as outbound sales calls to win new business.
As part of a small team your duties will also include serving customers on the trade counter and some stores work when required.
A driving licence is essential although delivery driving would be on the odd essential occasion.
This role could suit someone with some trade counter experience who is looking to progress onto the next stage in their career or someone who already has telephone sales experience in the electrical wholesale industry.
Responsibilities will include:
Handling enquiries
Regular phone contact of customers to secure orders on electrical wholesale products
Assisting with organising the trade counter
Being aware of the commercial value and profit of the products being sold
Setting up new customers, payments terms
Raising Quotations for customer orders
Progressing queries
Providing technical advice where required
Reactive and proactive telephone sales
Serving customers at the trade counter
Developing the customer base by regular contact which may include customer visits where required
Use of computer system including quotations, enquiries, back orders
Ad hoc deliveries if required
Skills Required:
Experience of the Electrical wholesale sector is essential (ideally this will be current or very recent)
Excellent knowledge of electrical products
Knowledge of LED Lighting
Polished communication skills (written and verbal)
Computer literate (inc Microsoft Office)
Enjoys speaking to people on the phone
Reliable and committed working attitude with great organisational skills
A hard-working team player with a flexible and helpful attitude
A self-motivated person with a flexible attitude and good work ethic who understands the importance of getting the job done and responding to the customer as promised, efficient and effective.
Positive with a friendly "can do" attitude.
A good listener who is keen to learn, develop new skills and "get on" in the business.
You will have a good understanding of the electrical wholesale industry and be able to communicate with a wide variety of people.
Monday to Friday only, full time permanent position.
Salary up to circa £37,000 per annum.
