Purchase Ledger Assistant Fresh People are currently looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our clients finance team within a Fresh produce operation based in the Maidstone area of Kent. In this role you will support the Finance Team in maintaining efficient financial operations and ensuring accurate processing of invoices. The Candidate Previous experience in a purchase ledger or similar financial administrative role. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage supplier relationships and ensure timely invoice processing. IT Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork. Key Responsibilities: Input purchase invoices into the system and assist the Finance Assistant with approval processes. Set up new suppliers and manage supplier statements. Handle the daily arrivals process and monthly employee expenses. Process Credit Control, sending out account statements, and following up on any overdue amounts older than 30 days. Ensure no outstanding amounts exceed 60 days. Provide cover and support for other members of the finance team when required. Communicate effectively with line managers to ensure smooth operations. Adhere to company communication and finance standards.
