As an experienced IT Solutions Architect, you'll guide the development of future-state architecture and ensure its successful adoption. You will provide overall direction, and guidance, and define architecture programs to effectively support business strategies. Based in our Media City office in Manchester, with three days in-office weekly and some international travel, you'll lead a team of three experts, reporting to our IT Director - Architecture & Applications Delivery.
Responsibilities include analyzing enterprise drivers, assessing IT deficiencies, and aligning IT strategies with business goals. A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
1. Architecture adoption assurance - Facilitate the development of the appropriate future-state architecture and ensure its effective adoption.
2. Strategic business direction - Provide overall direction, guidance, and definition of architecture programs that effectively support business strategies.
3. Business analysis - Analyse enterprise business drivers to derive valuable business context, assess the current IT environment for critical deficiencies and recommend and implement improvement solutions, developing strategies aligning IT with business goals.
4. Solution design and lifecycle involvement- Accountable/Responsible for designing solutions and being involved through the project's life cycle for effective implementation.
5. Tool identification - Identify the tools and components required for projects from the approved enterprise toolset.
We’re Looking for Someone With
6. Possesses significant experience across multiple IT areas with considerable relevant domain expertise (data, network, application, systems, etc.).
7. Requires advanced to expert-level knowledge and understanding of architecture, application design, systems engineering, and integration.
8. Preferred certification in TOGAF, IT Architecture, with a good understanding of project delivery methodologies such as Agile, SAFe, SAP Activate, etc.
9. Must have substantial business knowledge and expertise in one or more technical areas, including network, security, applications and systems software, data, and the Internet.
10. Awareness or experience in any Operating model for delivering IT Projects.
11. SAP Competency: Proficiency in SAP-related technologies, both on-premise and in the cloud.
