Job Purpose The Quality Inspector position is to measure and verify that machined metal components are correct to specification. Job Responsibilities Performing scheduled checks of parts at during the manufacture of each pallet of parts. Performing scheduled Gateway inspections on production parts in order to approve the batch of components to be moved to next process stage. 100% inspection of batches on any features that have failed the gateway release audit. Perform dock audits on parts ready for shipment. Overview final inspection rejects and give feedback to the final inspector(s). The use of handheld measuring equipment such as, Micrometer, linear gauges, attribute gauges, visual inspection and specialised CNC measurement machines. Basic computer skills to enable the inspection results to be scanned and filed electronically. Ensuring a smooth handover of incomplete tasks and relevant information about the shift at the start and end of each shift.
