Job Overview
We are looking to strengthen our senior nursing team by appointing a Director of Nursing for the Theatres, Anesthetics and Critical Care Clinical Division and Surgery Clinical Division.
The Director of Nursing is primarily responsible for the provision of a high-quality nursing service as well as leading on the governance of nursing standards and patient/service user experience agenda for Theatres, Anaesthetics and Critical Care and Surgical Clinical Division.

Main Duties of the Job
If successful you will provide professional leadership to nurses and other staff groups, contributing to the development of Divisional and Trust wide policy and strategy in relation to nursing. There will be an expectation of close partnership working with staff at all levels, across various staff groups across the Trust to facilitate delivery of excellent high-quality patient services.

Qualifications
Essential Criteria
* Registered Nurse
* Educated to Masters level/equivalent experience
* Post-registration Senior Clinical Qualifications and potentially Dual Qualified as Midwife or other Professional Qualifications.
Desirable Criteria
* Further professional management qualification

Essential Criteria
* Significant experience in a similar senior leadership role within Nursing
* Work history demonstrates achieving delivery of high standards of care
* Experience as Board member
* Executive leadership in a large and complex NHS organisation
