Job Summary - Part-time Dental Receptionist Role
We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
Duties
1. Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist them with check-in procedures.
2. Schedule appointments and manage the appointment diary effectively.
3. Handle patient enquiries, both in person, over the phone and by email, providing accurate information regarding services and procedures.
4. Maintain patient records, ensuring all information is up to date and confidential.
5. Process patient payments and manage billing enquiries with accuracy.
6. Coordinate with dental staff to ensure a seamless patient flow throughout the day.
7. Assist with other administrative tasks such as scanning, data entry into spreadsheets, and managing correspondence.
8. Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming for patients.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in an administrative or office role is preferred, ideally within a dental setting.
2. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour.
4. Proficiency in using office software and Exact dental practice management system is an advantage.
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
6. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills as required.
7. Able to demonstrate resilience and reliability.
8. Strong team player.
Pay will be based on experience but will meet at least minimum wage requirements.
