Job Description:
GSK R&D’s Manager-Business Data Analyst manages millions of Project Master Data records. This data is shared with stakeholders through the data fabric and reports. The role involves analyzing, defining, and governing centralized Project Master Data to ensure data quality, availability, and consumption for downstream processes, and maintaining legacy data as per timelines.
The role requires skilled resources to assist, encode, review data, and own tasks related to maintaining the central MDM business and system architecture. It focuses on stewardship activities, providing oversight of data across streams, and supporting the adoption of new data requirements by health authorities.
This position supports mastering Project structured data close to source by leveraging data standards and generating insights from structured and unstructured data across systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review demand intake for new Projects to evaluate their adequacy and data quality for R&D, Commercial, regulators, etc.
* Define orchestration strategy and codification process by engaging relevant experts, securing information, coding, and validating data as new master data.
* Contribute to the development and rollout of R&D data and analytics strategy and enterprise solutions.
* Analyze data structures in production and analytical systems to support business processes.
* Assist the MDM team in identifying trusted data sources and enhancing MDM and RDM systems.
* Design effective data stewardship processes to maintain data quality and support global business processes.
* Enable system building, data structures, and integrations for master and reference data.
* Support data governance framework development to ensure data harmonization and quality.
* Represent GSK in industry and regulator activities related to Master Data Management and Standardization.
* Monitor deviations, identify enhancements, and prioritize improvements.
* Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintain data flows and lineage for projects.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as computer science, economics, finance, life sciences, software engineering, math, bioinformatics.
* 7+ years in data management, governance, or related roles in pharma or healthcare.
* 5+ years experience with data governance, management, and analytics tools like MDM, SQL.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Proactive in resolving data quality issues with minimal oversight.
* Expertise in MDM technologies and tools like Informatica MDM, Reltio, Collibra.
* Certifications in MDM or data governance are advantageous.
* Strong communication skills for collaboration with technical and business teams.
* Experience in business process analysis and oversight.
