We are proud to be retained by a large and successful, family-owned hospitality business in the Spencer-Richardson group to manage their search for a new In-house Lawyer.
The successful individual will provide sound, quality and accurate legal advice and guidance across a wide range of areas that often impact decisions made by the business. The role would suit someone from industry or in Practice looking for their first role in industry.
You will be part of a team of 2 and become the first point of contact for all legal queries as well as supporting the CEO and owner with key decision making and problem solving.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide relevant, accurate and timely advice across a variety of topics including property sales, commercial property, planning law, premises licensing, rates valuations and data protection.
* Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial contracts and agreements across a number of different areas.
* Manage and mitigate legal risk through ensuring the right company processes and procedures are in place where missing design and implement.
* Ensure you are up-to-date with changes to legislation in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect the hospitality and leisure sector.
* Build relationships of trust with senior stakeholders.
Key skills & Experience:
* Sound generalist legal knowledge from property sales, commercial property, planning law, premises licensing, rates valuations to data protection.
* The ability to influence.
* Qualified Solicitor.
* Demonstrates a commercial mindset and business acumen.
* Strong communication skills.
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $120,000-$150,000 based on national averages and industry standards.
