Aviva is looking for an Investment Controls Analyst to join our Investment Operations (Unit Pricing) team in York. The work we do is critical for protecting our customers' funds and safeguarding Aviva's assets. A bit about the job: The Investment Operations (Unit Pricing) team is responsible for the pricing of approximately £100bn of investments. You will join the Expense Management team, a critical part of the Unit Pricing Controls team, which ensures that fees and rebates are correctly applied to unit-linked and policyholder funds. Additionally, you will ensure the FMECs (Fund Manager Expense Charge) and Transaction Costs of our funds are accurately calculated and disclosed, providing our customers with a better understanding of their investments. Aviva operates a "smart-working" policy, meaning we spend approximately half of our time working in the office. This role is based in York. Key responsibilities include: Effectively controlling external fund manager rebates, ensuring timely receipt of rebate payments, and using our Anaplan tool to validate the accuracy of fund manager rebate statements. Managing external fund manager invoices, ensuring they are validated and paid on time. Maintaining timely and accurate control of settlements for accrued fees and rebates in our pricing system. Accounting for fees and rebates in the corporate ledger. Conducting timely, effective, and complete reviews of AMCs in our pricing system. Performing annual reviews of FMECs for unit-linked funds in accordance with regulations. Assisting with quarterly TCD (Transaction Cost Disclosure). Review fund launch documents and Fund Change Instructions (FCIs) to implement changes in our pricing system. Skills and experience we're looking for: Proficiency in numeracy and problem-solving, with strong analytical skills and Excel ability. Strong stakeholder management skills. Knowledge driven and confidence, with a willingness to challenge and be challenged. A proactive approach to seeking improvements and efficiencies. Understanding or interest in financial markets, securities, and/or investments, experience in expense management and investment disclosure is desirable.
