What will be expected from me? You will: Have a proven track record of working in the learning and development field, providing advice and support to managers, be creative in finding solutions to support the needs of the workforce and have experience of leading and managing successful teams. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to build and maintain successful working relationships with all stakeholders. Having excellent IT skills, combined with an attention to detail, you will be able to work effectively using your own initiative as well as part of a team. Lead the Learning & Development Team who; develop learning solutions such as taught courses, eLearning, masterclasses etc, commission, manage contracts and undertake all event management. Lead the Wakefield Cares Careers Hub in promoting Adult Social Care in Wakefield as a career of choice, support the delivery of the Make A Difference Programme, and other recruitment initiatives and provide strategic direction. Support the Head of Service and Service Director with Adult Social Care Priorities, and workforce priorities of the Wakefield District Health & Care Partnerships People Plan. As a member of the senior leadership team, to contribute to the overall leadership, direction and management of the service in the context of local and national priorities. Maintain oversight of the overall budget position within Adult Social Care, working closely with Service Directors on savings targets. Involve and engage staff in all aspects of service development, encouraging innovation and the spread of new ideas. Provide effective supervision and performance management reviews and plan training in accordance with identified need. Develop and implement a performance culture which allows the service to deliver agreed objectives consistently, effectively and efficiently.
