The Role:
As a C, E & I Technician you will focus on the installation, maintenance, and calibration of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
How You Will Make an Impact:
* Install, maintain, calibrate, and test all electrical systems across the site.
* Support control systems maintenance, including DCS and local controllers (on-the-job training available if needed).
* Apply technical understanding of interlocks, alarms, and safety systems for detailed testing procedures.
* Handle electrical installations in hazardous areas, ensuring compliance with site standards and legislation.
* Contribute to modifications and projects within the maintenance function.
* Participate in a rotating out-of-hours callout schedule (1 in 4 weekends, 7 am–7 pm) with a 45-minute response time radius.
Creating Extraordinary Starts With:
* Electrical qualification with single and three-phase experience, ideally apprentice trained (C&G 2357 or equivalent preferred).
* Knowledge of BSEN 7671 Wiring Regulations (current edition) and High Voltage Awareness (ideal but not essential).
* Familiarity with C&G 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing (preferred), and CompEx 01–04 for hazardous areas (ideal but not essential).
* Basic IT literacy, with a willingness to learn in-house systems; general knowledge of IT infrastructure and CCTV is helpful.
* Experience with DCS, PLC, and Siemens-based control systems, along with instrumentation maintenance and calibration (preferred but not essential).
* Awareness of process safety and chemical safety protocols, along with a safety-conscious mindset.
* Strong understanding of risk assessment, permit compliance, and mechanical engineering principles.
* Awareness of gas-fired heaters and ability to manage external contractors as needed.
* Forklift and mobile access equipment operation experience (ideal but not essential).
* Positive attitude and adaptability to learn and grow within the role.

Salary: Salary is based on experience and inclusive of prepaid overtime and disturbance allowance.
