Role:
Are you passionate about engaging children and young people in nature and cultural heritage? Do you believe in ensuring all younger generations feel welcome and included? Volunteer to help inspire the National Trust’s supporters of the future.
Supporting or leading a variety of activities and projects with or for children & young people such as family events, family and youth volunteering, school engagement, and careers engagement.
As part of the recruitment process for this role, undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check before starting with us.
Volunteering with partners and community groups who engage children & young people, such as Duke of Edinburgh, Scouts/Guides, and youth clubs.
Championing the National Trust’s core aims of conserving nature, beauty, and history for everyone, forever.
Being a friendly face and ambassador for the National Trust.
Being part of a team that may need to adapt and change in response to local needs, National Trust priorities, or changes to government guidelines e.g., Covid.
We want all our volunteers to feel welcome and to have an equally positive experience when volunteering with us.
So, volunteers will:
1. Be provided with the necessary induction, training, equipment, and reasonable adjustments to do this role well and safely.
2. Be offered expenses to cover agreed travel costs between home and place of volunteering.
3. Have remote access to support, news, and rotas via our volunteer website.
Time commitment:
Volunteering hours vary depending on the role and our opening times. We aim to be as flexible as possible and can discuss more with those interested in the role.
