Collaborates across teams, prepares technical reports in accordance with current standards on regional and national programmes for public and private sector clients. You’ll be responsible for: Manages building surveys on various building types for assessment, defect identification, diagnosis and project monitoring. Develops and prepares reports to meet client's scopes of services. Coordinates reports, specifications and contractual documents to assist with the management of a range of construction projects. Manages compliance with good practice health & safety and quality assurance. Responsible for the developing and preparing competitive tenders and fee proposals. Collaborates and works closely with building surveying leadership team (SLT). Actively supports team to develop professional competences required by recognised professional bodies. Collaborates and contributes to internal and external multi-disciplinary teams for relevant portfolios. Applies comprehensive technical knowledge and expertise gained through substantial work experience to solve a range of complex construction and project related problems. Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work. You’ll need to have: Knowledge of construction materials and technology. Ability to identify and recommend solutions to construction defects. Proficient in specification writing and tender preparation. Understanding of contract administration. Undergraduate university degree - BSc (HONS) (or equivalent). Understanding and expertise in the public sector. Procurement market including public frameworks. Effective communication, personal accountability, critical thinking. Works proactively within bid teams. Builds and develops stakeholder relationships. Coordinates and liaises with suppliers and sub-contractors. Ability to liaise with and influence senior leadership. Ability to work independently and to tight timescales to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategic outcomes. Directs, coordinates and manages others within portfolio area. Construction project management experience. You’ll also have: Knowledge of landlord and tenant and neighbourly matters. Knowledge and understanding of construction costs. Knowledge of AutoCAD for preparing specification drawings etc. Understands and implements a bid to win strategy. Member of professional body - RICS or CIOB (or equivalent). Master’s degree in related subject (or equivalent). Health & safety qualifications - NEBOSH (or equivalent), construction skills certification scheme.
