Our first home, KYN BICKLEY, opened in February 2023. KYN BICKLEY is an 86-bedroom home offering each resident an elegant and comfortable bedroom, communal areas for dining and reclining; and inviting outdoor terraces overlooking landscaped gardens bordered by woodland. About the opportunity:
As an Assistant Hospitality Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Supporting the Hospitality Manager in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
2. Assisting the Life Enriching Activity Lead/Life Enriching Activity Co-ordinators in implementing a whole home approach to providing meaningful occupation for all residents.
3. Leading from the front in an operational and hands-on role.
4. Delivering a five-star hospitality service to residents and their family members, aiming to exceed their expectations.
5. Managing the bar and waiting team, ensuring the highest quality of service.
6. Completing audits, stock, and rota management.
7. Ensuring health and safety/food safety standards are adhered to.
8. Building relationships with residents to understand their individual needs.
9. Being accommodating and flexible to the requests of residents and their families.
10. Ensuring compliance with KYN's allergen policy and all associated legislation.
11. Developing, implementing, and reviewing hospitality service standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
12. Responding to resident complaints quickly and professionally.
13. Ensuring compliance with KYN's Complaint Policy and Procedure.
14. Pre-empting any signs of dissatisfaction from residents and relatives.
15. Ensuring hospitality sections/areas are presented according to company standards.
16. Seeking verbal feedback from residents and relatives.
17. Writing team rotas with management agreement.
18. Ordering and accepting deliveries according to company policy.
19. Adhering to all opening and closing standards.
20. Being competent in all administration and paperwork as set by KYN.
21. Maintaining brand standards as per the Brand Standards Manual.
22. Achieving company standards on financial audits.
23. Recognising and rewarding excellent performance within the Hospitality Team.
24. Assisting in team meetings and communication of important company information.
25. Assisting with recruitment and selection as needed.
26. Supporting on-job training as required.
27. Monitoring compliance with mandatory training across the hospitality team.
28. Helping the Hospitality Manager with annual appraisals and PDPs.
29. Taking responsibility for personal development and career paths.
30. Providing a hands-on approach to ensure continuity of service.
31. Building and maintaining excellent relationships between the Kitchen and front of house teams.
32. Implementing budget, margin, and labour controls in line with KYN standards.
33. Ensuring all end of day and banking procedures are completed.
34. Interpreting KYN and brand objectives and seeking opportunities to achieve them.
35. Managing Beverage stock in line with KYN's policy.
36. Deputising in the Hospitality Manager's absence.
37. Serving alcohol responsibly and adhering to all terms of the premises licence.
38. Complying with KYN's dress code while on duty.
39. Being responsible for the health and safety of self, team members, residents, and visitors.
40. Reporting any hazards or potential hazards.
41. Complying with COSHH regulations.
42. Attending all statutory training sessions.
43. Adhering to all KYN's policies and procedures.
About you:
* Experience in a similar role within a care home or 4-5-star hospitality venue.
* Proven history of delivering and maintaining high standards.
* Experience in managing Hospitality systems such as point of sales and billing systems.
* Confident with a hands-on approach to lead and inspire the team.
* Experience in implementing and adhering to allergens, Health & Safety/COSHH procedures.
* Observant with the ability to anticipate residents' needs.
* Organised with strong communication and influencing skills.
* Ability to work under pressure flexibly and consistently.
* Compassionate, empathetic, kind, and caring individual.
* Good financial understanding and ability to follow processes accurately.
