The manufacturing site in Bracknell uses a wide range of machinery including mixers, mills, filling machines, high-speed packing, laminators and paper-converting equipment. The activity at the Bracknell site is increasing. We are looking for a multi-skilled engineer to reinforce the engineering team (a team of 5) to help install the extra equipment on-site and maintain them after their installation.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background and be able to troubleshoot and maintain various systems within our facility. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to ensuring the operational efficiency of all equipment.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, utilising logic for effective diagnosis.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts used.
Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and improve operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all maintenance activities.
Key Skills & Attributes
1. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
2. Experience with fault finding on PLC systems / HMI.
3. Proficient in customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for internal stakeholders.
4. Solid understanding of electrical systems.
5. Ability to manage a varied workload.
6. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining equipment records.
7. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication within the team.
8. Electrical certification and a valid forklift license would be advantageous.
