Maintenance Engineer
The Role:
1. To diagnose faults and to test, repair and maintain.
2. To observe, recognise and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure.
3. To service adjust and repair machinery and equipment using the necessary tools in a safe and proper manner.
4. To examine machinery and equipment and report on condition, performance and plan of action for improvements.
5. Carry out Planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules.
6. To interpret and implement technical service instruction data relating to machinery and equipment.
7. Take on any training provided by the company to further enhance the skills.
8. Use the CMMS stores system to accurately record parts taken out
9. Comply with stores systems in place.
10. To assess records and associated costs for repairs
11. To order appropriate replacement parts as required.
12. To liase with manufacturers of specialist machinery and equipment
13. Support the Site roadmaps for Quality / H S / EMS / Engineering / Autonomous maintenance.
14. Use and support simple 5WHY CI techniques / RCA techniques.
15. Use and support departmental 5s programmes.
16. Use and Support Reliability centred maintenance techniques.
17. Support the department with internal / external audits
18. To use the CMMS system effectively recording information accurately.
19. To use CMMS historical data for improvement initiatives
20. To use CMMS historical data for fault trending and quick resolution for fault finding
Key Skills and Experience:
21. Apprentice Trained or Relevant Engineering Qualification
22. FMCG or Manufacturing experience beneficial
23. Experience working in an automated environment
