We’re an award-winning speciality coffee roastery from Brighton - winning Great Taste Awards, Great British Food Gold and recently being shortlisted for Sussex Business of the Year. We explore coffees and create flavours that can be enjoyed and celebrated by everyone. We’ve been roasting coffee since 2006 and proudly sell our coffee in our own cafes, online and via our wholesale partners.
Responsibility:
Your responsibility will include developing, executing, and managing marketing and growth strategies tailored specifically to the UK market, ensuring we remain competitive and continue to grow.
Your role will be to strategically and commercially lead, manage and optimise marketing for Small Batch Coffee Roasters (SBCR), including local and digital marketing, to ensure that all channels improve acquisition and retention and grow revenue YOY with an efficient ROI/ROAS.
* Create a multi-channel Marketing Strategy to grow the SBCR brand across online (DTC) and wholesale (B2B) business.
* Deliver the Ecommerce trading strategy to achieve revenue and profit targets.
* Manage digital marketing channels including social media, SEO, PPC, affiliate, and email campaigns to generate new customers, subscriptions and improve online visibility. Overseeing the creation of best-in-class content.
* Plan and manage the SBCR marketing budget to ensure both brand and revenue growth goals are achieved.
* Work closely with the Head of Sales to ensure alignment between marketing and sales objectives, identifying opportunities to boost lead generation and new wholesale partnerships.
* Analyse and interpret performance metrics, delivering actionable insights to refine campaigns and inform data driven decisions.
* Monitor and report on the effectiveness of those marketing campaigns, using data and insights to optimise strategies. Including (but not limited to) Meta, Google, TikTok and Amazon.
* Oversee the email marketing plan to ensure BAU broadcast campaigns are performance led to achieve targets. Oversee all automations and email flows and make changes as necessary (i.e. welcome flow testing).
* Work on website developments to increase conversion rates, implementing improvements across the customer buying journey.
* (web, email, blogs, social media, etc.) to engage our audience and customers
* Grow Amazon marketplace traffic and revenue, implementing improvements to the landing page, product pages and sponsored listings in order to increase conversions.
* Report weekly, monthly and yearly on all marketing channels and key KPIs, ensuring data is accurately maintained for decision making, providing performance analysis and reviews on all campaigns and promotional activity.
* Adopt a test & learn approach within all channels, continuously reporting back on findings and working with the wider team to deliver change.
* Mentor your direct reports to optimise their channels efficiently.
* Be an advocate for your department, staying on the pulse of industry trends, continually sharing with the team and wider business where appropriate.
* Communicating and reporting to the Executive Management on a regular basis.
Experience:
* 6+ years of experience in managing digital marketing channels within a DTC ecommerce environment
* 2 years of managing a team and proven experience mentoring a team to achieve personal and business goals
* Must have previous experience in daily account management across paid social Meta/Google and the ability to train others across these channels. Experience/awareness of TikTok strategy
* Amazon experience
* Experience creating & implementing targets, KPIs and strategy for your function
* Strong reporting and analytical skills
* Knowledge of testing principles and road mapping
* Exceptional communication and writing skills in English.
