Job Description/ Responsibilities:
The Contracts Manager will join us with a wealth of industry-related knowledge and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a related Contracts Manager role. They will be confident and motivated, with a hands-on approach. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. End-to-end project and cost management, from initial brief to sign off.
2. Estimating for and overseeing the installation of various passive fire protection products and intumescent paint.
3. Programming projects and ensuring they are carried out to a high level of detail, following all manufacturer guidelines.
4. Liaising with site management teams to ensure that all involved are aware of our work processes.
5. Attending site visits to gain better knowledge of the works required, to assist with quotations.
6. Attending weekly review meetings to ensure deadlines are being met.
7. Producing relevant RAMs and H&S documents, ensuring adherence to timely management of both temporary and permanent staff, to meet project requirements.
8. Uploading new clients, projects, drawings and RAMs to the BORIS system prior to each project start date.
9. Overall business development; introductions and client proposals.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years' experience in a Contracts Manager role.
2. Extensive experience in passive fire protection and intumescent paint.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of fire stopping procedures and products.
4. In date SMSTS and CSCS tickets.
5. Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal.
6. Confident individual, capable of managing any situation on site.
7. Experience with using the BORIS system, both on site and in the office.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook and Word.
9. Full, valid UK driving licence with willingness and flexibility to travel to sites across the UK at short notice.
