As a benefits coordinator at The Arc of Monroe, you will assist with coordination and inquiries related to employee benefits. This will include, but not be limited to health insurance, 401k/403b, leaves of absence, and workers compensation, disability and FMLA, in compliance with all Federal and State laws, agency regulations with the goal of reducing agency liability of such claims.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Play an integral role in leave of absence administration working with disability vendors, managers, employees and payroll to effectively process and monitor leaves.
2. Provide general clerical support with administering benefit programs such as medical, vision, dental, flexible spending accounts, and 403(b) Tax Deferred Retirement Annuity plan.
3. Prepare benefit attachments/link and send out invitations to new hire benefit orientation meetings as needed.
4. Assist in benefit administration with new hires, open enrollment and general employee benefit questions, which includes navigating open enrollment in UKG (HRIS System).
5. Provide assistance to employees and new hires with 403b eligibility and questions.
6. Respond accurately and timely to all employee reference checks and employment inquiries.
7. Provide excellent customer service, both internally and externally.
8. Interact with all levels of staff with professionalism, confidentiality and sensitivity to employee and organizational information.
9. Consistently operate with excellent time management, decision making and problem-solving skills.
10. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and deliver effective levels of customer service.
11. Work on benefit related activities/projects as requested.
Minimum Requirements:
* Associates Degree in HR or related field plus 3 years of strong clerical support experience preferably in HR or claims/benefits processing.
* Equivalent years of experience will be considered.
