Requirements: Seeking local candidates based in the London area who can commit to working on-site three days per week.
Relevant Experience:
* Experience in procurement, supplier management, and contract negotiation in renewable energy or oil & gas. (Ideally Carbon capture projects)
* Specific examples of handling high-value contracts and purchase orders.
* SAP experience is critical requirement.
* Your ability to liaise with multiple departments and manage supplier relationships.
* Your understanding of government regulations and compliance in procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract & PO Management:
* Negotiating and preparing contracts and purchase orders (POs).
* Keeping track of relevant documents.
* Managing variation order requests (contract amendments).
Supplier & Procurement Management:
* Obtaining quotations and issuing pre-agreements.
* Building and maintaining a supply chain database for key suppliers in the renewable sector.
* Maintaining relationships with suppliers.
Cross-Departmental Coordination:
* Supporting the commercial department and liaising with project staff on procurement matters.
* Keeping teams informed about pricing, technical details, and availability of materials/services.
* Assisting with other duties in the department when needed.
Compliance & Regulations:
* Ensuring all purchasing activities comply with government acts and regulations.
Software & Experience Requirements:
* SAP Experience is essential for creating and processing contracts and POs.
* Strong negotiation skills in high-value subcontracts and POs (preferably in oil & gas).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for documentation and communication.
* Membership in a Purchasing Institute is a plus but not mandatory.
