Your interpersonal skills will enable you to quickly forge good working relationships within the hospital and make you someone our patients can trust to effectively coordinate their care. You will be responsible for identifying any blockages or concerns in patient pathways and recommending solutions and changes to current processes to improve service delivery and compliance.
Work closely with consultants, specialist nurses, clerical and other staff to deliver a coordinated, consistent management of patient cancer pathways. Escalate any clinical concerns to the appropriate clinician, i.e., CNS/Physician Associate.
This role is ideally suited for candidates who are already working at a Band 3 level or above and looking to develop themselves within the NHS while actively working in and supporting multiple teams around them. The successful candidate will have a good grounding in medical terminology and experience of working in a pathway coordination/navigation role or similar.
