This appointment is to support the expansion of the existing clinical team based at Ipswich Hospital. The successful candidate will join the two current Gynaecological oncologists Mr Barnaby Rufford and Miss Wendy MacNab.
Applicants will have entry onto the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of CCT date at time of interview or have completed CESR and be on the Specialist Register.
The standard full time job plan will consist of 10 programmed activities of which up to 1.5 will typically be SPAs. The Trust will allocate 1.5 SPAs for appraisals, CPD, mandatory training, job planning etc. Further SPA time may be allocated for specified activities. This has to be agreed with the clinical director at initial job planning review. Permission from your Clinical Director/Medical Director must be sought for participation in external NHS activities and once agreed these should be recorded in your job plan. There is an on call element of 0.5pa.
The aim of this post is to deliver gynaecology oncology service within a strict time frame against finite resources, particularly operating sessions.
