Teaching Assistant - Wantage
KS2
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a local primary school's KS2 team in Wantage.
Working closely with fellow KS2 staff, students, and parents, you will ensure high-quality care and education for children in the school’s EYFS, promoting a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment. The role will involve supporting students with Autism, challenging behaviours, and other Special Educational Needs (SEN) who struggle to sit independently and follow the class teacher.
Pay: £83.50 - £90 per day
Working Patterns: Monday to Friday (term time only)
Hours: 08:30am - 3:30pm
School Location: Onsite OX12
Requirements:
1. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)
2. Experience in supporting children aged 5 - 11 years old in a school/club (including voluntary work)
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
4. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies and procedures
5. You must hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate
