Diagnostic Imaging Registered Veterinary Nurse - Maternity cover Location: Southfields Veterinary Specialists Job Type: 12 months FTC Hours: 40 hours/week Salary: From £28,000, depending on experience Your role and responsibilities Southfields Veterinary Specialists are currently recruiting for a talented Registered Veterinary Nurse to provide support to our rapidly growing diagnostic i maging department. Your daily duties will include D irect communication and co-ordination with the Senior Imaging N urse, Deputy Nurse Managers, and specialised imaging radiologists, A ssisting with and performing diagnostic imaging procedures to include: Computed Tomography, Magnet ic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasonography, Radiography, and f luoroscopy. You will w ork co nfidently and solely within each imaging modality, operating highly specialised imaging equipment, overseeing equipment performance and image quality, positioning patients to a hig h diagnostic and clinical standard, understanding and resolving logistical and tec hnical imaging system faults, D aily operational and organisational duties of the picture archiving communication system to include imaging reconstruction, image and r eport back up and archiving, handling internal and external image and report requests. General registered nursing duties includ ing, anaesthesia monitoring ; i ntravenous catheter placement ; drug dosage calculation, handling, and administration ; blood sampling and l ab or atory duties ; patient recovery and, general cleaning and infection control. O versee ing all aspects of radiation within your daily dep artment allocation (x-ray/CT/Fluoroscopy ). Y ou will be provided with the necessary radiation protection training to allow a safe working environment. You will be required to work a variety of early, mid, and late shifts and contribute to a 2:8 weekend and Bank Holiday rota.
