The Partnerships Team works across private, public and community sectors to manage challenges collectively. The Bathing Water Technical Lead will deliver industry leading expertise in Strategy & Regulation by being the technical lead in delivery of bathing water technical projects and response to operational incidents, to ensure regulatory compliance and minimise YWs impact on designated bathing waters. The Bathing Water Technical Lead will represent Yorkshire Water as part of Technical Action Group Meetings with our key stakeholders including the Environment Agency and Local Councils. The role will support the wider Partnerships team including working with colleagues from Living with Water and the Flood Risk and Engagement team in delivery of technical projects and community engagement work. Where you fit in: As our Bathing Water Technical Lead you will Be accountable for working closely with Senior Leaders and Colleagues within the Business as well as external stakeholders to promote bathing water compliance and reduction in Yorkshire Waters negative impact on designated bathing waters. Be the technical lead for Bathing Water pollution incidents, coordinating investigations and driving remedial actions through to completion Provide technical support, coaching and guidance to colleagues in their delivery of the operational management and maintenance of the asset base to ensure compliance and continual improvement. Review investigations and outputs, advising on any additional work required and ensuring full end to end investigations are completed. Feedback to the Environment Agency and Yorkshire Water colleagues Provide on-site support to Asset Management and Operational colleagues on capital schemes and defects impacting bathing water sites, ensuring that BWQ is prioritised throughout the programme of work. Ensure the technical frontline delivery of the Bathing Water Strategy by operations and that any non-adherence is escalated and resolved appropriately. What skills & qualifications you will need: Experience of and ability to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours Ability to develop, maintain and leverage value from an extensive internal and external network. Able to adapt to change and resilience to operate in a challenging performance climate A self-motivated individual who enjoys taking ownership of a challenge and seeing it through to resolution Able to review, understand and articulate investigation outputs to external agencies Able to interrogate YW systems such as RTS, Scada and ROD Experience of operational Health and Safety Principles Experience and knowledge of the Bathing Water Directive and the Water Industrys role in Bathing Water Quality You will also benefit from having: Experience of working with external agencies such as the Environment Agency Knowledge of EDA and YW governance around risk management Incident management experience Experience working with local councils and media Health and Safety training such as Working at Heights, Manual Handling in an Ops Environment and Confined Spaces.
