An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time dynamic and talented individual to join our team.
As a technician in our team, you will be responsible for working on a diverse range of projects including coordinating design and technical information with wider design teams and producing detailed Revit/CAD based information for tender and construction, representing the practice at public consultation events and implementing BIM and CAD standards.
Responsibilities
* Creation of landscape models meeting project requirements in collaboration with landscape architects and other disciplines.
* Production of drawing register, CAD based technical information and Specifications, Revit Model and detail tailored to each project.
* Help resolve design issues including BIM Model clashes using Navisworks or Solibri.
* Create and maintain BIM Libraries of the project.
* Working collaboratively with our BIM Lead, other staff within the office and within multi-disciplinary design teams including engagement in discussion with wider design team members in workshops and DTMs, assist in communication with client team members.
* Research and develop new details and technical information and share with the team to help with continuous office progression.
* Responsible for sharing information outside of the practice e.g. uploading to relevant file share sites.
* Responsible for filing outgoing and incoming information for own projects.
* Working with in the current office systems for continuity across the office and outlining ways that we can improve.
* Assist with ongoing CPD activities.
Qualifications and Skills
* Eligibility to work in the UK permanently.
* 2+ years of Revit experience.
* Experience using Revit 2024 or above Landscape features.
* Degree or HND/C in Architectural Technology (or equivalent).
* Attention to detail, flare for design and creativity, to bring innovative points of view to the team and our clients.
* Clear verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in 2D & 3D Revit software is essential but other experiences would be an advantage including Sketchup, AutoCAD, Vectorworks, etc.
* Understanding of BEPs, Level of Detail, Uniclass Classification and Clash Matrix.
* Fluent in InDesign and Photoshop.
* Previous experience with industry standard file sharing sites is preferable e.g. Aconex, Trimble, ACC.
* Experience working in multi-disciplinary design teams.
