Role Overview
As an Events Assistant, you will support Press Record Live DJs in the setup, pack down and event preparation of weddings, festivals, and special celebrations. This includes moving and setting up audio, lighting, and stage equipment, as well as providing assistance in our Lancashire premises with event planning and preparation. Some experience with audio equipment and DMX lighting is preferred. You will also capture event footage and assist with general duties to ensure events run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with the transportation, setup, and pack down of sound, lighting, and stage equipment at event venues.
2. Support DJs on-site during events to ensure smooth operations.
3. Capture video footage of events and ensure quality content is produced.
4. Help with pre-event preparations at the office and premises, including testing equipment.
5. Assist with client interactions, where necessary, providing excellent service.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of equipment and preparation space.
Requirements
1. Basic knowledge of audio and lighting equipment, including DMX systems.
2. Ability to work flexible hours, primarily evenings and weekends.
3. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
4. Comfortable working in fast-paced event environments.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Full UK driver’s license and access to transport (preferred).
7. Willingness to learn and develop within a growing company.

Candidate Requirements
Experience
Previous experience in event support or live events is preferred, though candidates with a strong interest in the events industry and a passion for music will be considered. Understanding the dynamics of weddings, private functions, or similar events is beneficial. However, training will be provided for the right individual with a keen interest in events and the willingness to learn.
Technical Skills
A basic understanding of audio and lighting equipment, including sound systems, mixers, and lighting rigs is preferred. Experience with DMX systems or other technical aspects of event production is a plus. Ideal candidates should be comfortable assisting with the setup and operation of equipment to support the DJ and event activities.
Communication & Client Interaction
As an integral part of the Press Record Live team, you will interact with clients, guests, and venue staff. Strong interpersonal skills are essential to ensure smooth communication and a positive experience. The ability to address client requests, assist in event coordination, and adapt to various event types is crucial in providing exceptional service.
Driving License
A full, clean UK driving license is required, as the role involves travel to various venues across the Northwest. Comfort with driving vans loaded with event equipment is necessary.
Flexibility & Availability
The role requires flexibility with working hours, primarily during evenings and weekends. You should be willing to adapt to changing schedules, occasional overnight stays for out-of-town events (out-of-town bonus offered), and extended hours during busy periods to ensure events run smoothly.
