The Society of Saint Hilarion is a not-for-profit organisation, founded on an emphasis on family and community values. Our residential facilities at Seaton and Fulham are seeking experienced casual Personal Care Workers that are looking to make a difference in the lives of older adults.
About the Role:
The Personal Care Worker provides high quality and safe personal care for clients in a kind, compassionate and respectful manner in accordance with the organisational values to ensure their holistic care needs are met. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Provide high quality and safe personal care that respects consumers’ dignity, privacy and choice.
2. Maintain and encourage consumers’ independence, choice and decision making.
3. Assist in the evaluation of consumers’ progress, recording and reporting changes to health, wellbeing and preferences to the Enrolled and Registered nurse.
4. Assist in gathering documentation for the Care Plan under the guidance of the Enrolled and Registered Nurse.
5. Understand and adhere to clinical procedures and the Aged Care Quality Standards to ensure each resident's safety and well-being.
Mandatory requirements for all candidates:
1. Hold a minimum of a Certificate III in Aged Care.
2. Valid National Police Check.
3. Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia.
4. 100 points of ID (Driver's license, Passport, Birth certificate).
The Key Candidate:
1. Be experienced in working as a qualified personal care worker within an aged care residential environment.
2. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Sound time management to manage own workload.
Candidates who speak a second language are desirable (Italian or Greek highly desirable) - please include this in your resume.
