About the role: Work Experience Coordinator Activate Learning is seeking a dedicated and organised SEND Work Experience Coordinator to join our team at Reading College. In this role, you will support SEND students in developing employability skills and securing relevant work experience placements aligned with their career aspirations. Working alongside a committed team of learning professionals, you will deliver tailored \"Preparation for Placement\" sessions and track students’ progress throughout the academic year. Your key responsibilities will include managing the placement process from start to finish. This involves liaising with employers to source high-quality, appropriate placements, ensuring all health and safety requirements are met, and recording all placements in our work experience system. You will also provide ongoing support and guidance to both students and employers, helping to ensure a positive experience for all stakeholders. This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Reading College campus, where you will play a vital role in helping SEND students gain the skills and confidence they need to thrive in the workplace. What do you need to be successful as a Work Experience Coordinator at Activate Learning? We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented individual with a proven track record of supporting SEND students aged 16-25. You should possess strong administrative and IT skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks, monitor progress, and efficiently prioritise to meet deadlines. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential, enabling you to deliver engaging and motivating sessions—both one-on-one and in groups—to empower learners. Your empathy, combined with confidence, will help students build the work readiness and employability skills necessary for successful placements.
