As the Logistics & Despatch Team Leader, you will own the coordination of logistics activities, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service delivery. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you'll lead from the front, motivating your team to create value through process improvements, safety adherence, and operational efficiency. Main Tasks and Responsibilities - Train, motivate, and develop a high-performing logistics and despatch team. - Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments via sea and air, ensuring compliance with international regulations. - Manage lifting activities for packages exceeding 50 tonnes, adhering to health, safety, and regulatory standards. - Identify opportunities to optimise processes, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. - Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to meet delivery targets and resolve challenges efficiently. To succeed in this role, you'll need: - Proven experience in logistics, despatch, or supply chain management, with a strong focus on freight forwarding. - Expertise in customs regulations and international shipping laws. - Understanding of various lifting equipment and safe handling practices - Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to logistics and lifting operations - A track record of seizing opportunities to improve processes and create value. - Strong organisational skills and a commitment to owning responsibilities from start to finish. - A collaborative mindset to team up effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
