We’re on the lookout for a Commercial Combined and Property Owners Underwriter to join our Commercial Lines Team. The role will be part of our Networks Team, a newly established team set up to focus on specific strategic partners and grow the books of business as well as the wider Mid-Market Business. This will be by case underwriting new business risks and actively managing existing business portfolios.We’re looking for someone with a wealth of knowledge and experience in underwriting, with a proven ability to build and develop relationships with brokers. We work on a hybrid basis, our office base being Manchester 2 days per week and 3 days from home (flexibility may be required). What will I be doing? Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues and brokers. Profitably underwrite Commercial Combined on a case-by-case basis within Covéa’s appetite and underwriting criteria. Maintain, and endeavour to exceed, agreed service levels to both internal and external customers. Working closely with senior underwriters and supporting those more junior Maintain an accurate audit trail using Covéa systems, practices and procedures. Develop and maintain and up-to-date knowledge of: - The commercial lines market - The broking marketplace - Legislation and litigation which could affect the writing of business You should apply if You have strong trading skills with experience in developing broker accounts to achieve profitable growth. You have underwriting knowledge, specifically with previous experience in Commercial Combined. You have previous Commercial Combined Underwriting experience. You are passionate about your own development within the insurance industry. You have the ability to demonstrate meeting & exceeding personal and team objectives.
