Perform the duties and responsibilities of the Superintendent Pharmacist for theoutpatient pharmacies as required by the Pharmacy Regulator - the GeneralPharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and all applicable legislation. Perform the duties as the Controlled Drug Accountable Officer for the outpatientpharmacies Accountable for the safe purchase, receipt, storage, sale & supply of all medicineswithin the outpatient pharmacies. Responsible for the professional and management of the outpatient pharmaciesat the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Freeman Hospital. Lead a team of pharmaceutical professionals and ensure compliance of standardoperating procedures and up-to-date training is maintained for staff. To ensure pharmacy services are delivered within budget and manage theoperational finances associated with the delivery of the service, such as staffingand drug expenditure in line with agreed budgets. Ensure all key performance indicators are met, taking remedial action to addressand improve any performance issues. Drive improvements in quality & safety, innovation, and levels of stakeholdersatisfaction. Work with key stakeholders to adapt outpatient pharmacy service in response tochanging service needs to ensure services are progressive, responsive to internaland external demand, are patient focused, safe, efficient and effective. Develop strategies and plans to enable the effective recruitment, retention,development and training of staff. Ensure errors, complaints and incidents are investigated and managed
