About this opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join Westmorland and Furness Council as an Oral Health Improvement Training Officer within the Health Protection Team which forms part of the wider Public Health Team within the Council. This is a really important role within the team as oral health improvement is one of the mandated Public Health functions that the council must fulfil.
In this role you will work within the Public Health Team to improve oral health, working with Adult Social Care regulated care settings, and other identified key areas for adult oral health improvement. The role is predominantly to train and support staff working in these settings to understand and promote excellence in oral care and oral health promotion. You will be required to support the development of resources and training to improve oral health knowledge and practices within health and social care and other identified settings based on need.
We are seeking someone who has experience of working with a wide range of health and social care professionals, specifically the regulated care sector, experience of training and an interest in oral health improvement.
You’ll be planning and delivering your own work with guidance and support.
