We facilitate the development of our psychological professions staff across all areas. The professional group is led by our Director of Therapies and our Chief Psychologist, both Consultant Clinical Psychologists.

This post is responsible for providing high quality psychology and neuropsychology services to the Milton Keynes Specialist Memory Service.
The team provides assessment and intervention to people living in Milton Keynes with suspected dementia and with a diagnosis of dementia. The service also provides support to the families and carers of people with dementia. This post also involves offering advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to the carers of service users, and working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Teams’ policies and procedures.
The service functions in both outpatient clinic and community settings. The post holder will work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team, comprising of psychiatry, nursing and occupational therapy, in order to ensure the highest standards of care. The post holder will be required to complete home visits where indicated and may be required to travel to different sites within CNWL for meetings.
Supervision and support will be provided by the Consultant Clinical Psychologist for Older Adults.
The post holder will need to be a qualified and registered therapist or psychologist, with the HCPC or equivalent.
Please note: The job description for this post is based on Band 8a competencies. However, newly qualified applicants will also be considered at Band 7 with a preceptorship period.
