SEN HLTA & Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Skelmersdale
A specialist SEN school in Skelmersdale is looking for an experienced HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) and Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and compassionate professional to support students with additional needs on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
* Providing tailored support to students with special educational needs, including autism and complex learning difficulties
* Delivering interventions and supporting learning under the guidance of the class teacher
* Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
* Leading small group sessions and covering classes as required (HLTA role)
* Supporting students' communication and social development in a structured and nurturing environment
Minimum Requirements:
* HLTA qualification or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience working with children with SEN in a school or specialist setting
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
* A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning and behaviour management
