Assistant Bar Manager (fixed-term)
Soak up the sweet taste of victory or drown your defeat with a relaxing drink or snack. The Leisure Bowl is a busy vibrant bar serving cocktails, soft drinks, premium spirits, beers and bar snacks throughout the day alongside ten pin bowling and discos in the evening.
ASSISTANT BAR MANAGER | Circa £30,800 per annum
In this role, you will assist the Manager in effectively controlling, co-ordinating and planning the unit activities in line with Company standards. You will maintain high levels of guest satisfaction through service and value for money to achieve budgeted financial targets.
Other responsibilities will include helping to lead, motivate and develop the team. This is a hands-on management role, where you will play an integral part in the day-to-day running of the operation, including taking and serving drink orders and ensuring the team deliver excellent service to every guest. You will support with facilitating and developing a culture that promotes and encourages the general wellbeing, motivation, and morale of your team, whilst ensuring effective performance management strategies are in place and your team are actively contributing towards this.
Ideally, you will have previous experience as an Assistant Manager / Supervisor within a fast-paced bar / food and beverage environment. You will be a highly motivated individual, committed to the success of the operation.
HOURS OF WORK
This is a fixed-term role until 16th January 2025.
Working straight shifts, you will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts will fall between 8am and Midnight.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential requirements:
1. Ability to lead a team in a busy, fast paced environment
2. A good level of computer literacy and analytical skills
3. Previous supervisory experience at a similar level
4. Excellent communicator
5. Excellent organisational skills whilst working under pressure
Desirable requirements:
6. Previous management experience in a large high-volume organisation or venue
7. Knowledge of financial targets and controls
