Location: UK & Ireland Contract Type: Ltd Company Contractor Rate: £450/day Ltd Co Accommodation (Studio/1-Bed Flat) Fuel Allowance Schedule: Mon-Thurs (10-hour days) | Fri (5-hour day) Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (E&I) to lead and oversee electrical and instrumentation (E&I) construction projects across the UK & Ireland. The role requires a highly skilled professional with a strong background in power generation, oil & gas, and heavy industrial sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, execution, commercial oversight, and ensuring compliance with HSE and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Pre-Construction & Planning Prepare pre-mobilisation plans, HSE & Quality Plans, and commercial budgets. Assist in project design, constructability reviews, and procurement strategies. Assess labour, supervision, and equipment requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Project Execution & Compliance Ensure work adheres to budget, schedule, and client safety policies. Identify variations, contractual obligations, and potential risks, ensuring appropriate actions are taken. Maintain cost control, reporting, and project documentation. Lead construction teams, ensuring clear role allocation and delegation. Manage HSE compliance, working closely with the HSE Manager. Stakeholder & Contract Management Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and performance monitoring. Ensure strong communication and coordination between teams, contractors, and clients. Lead project health & safety initiatives, ensuring a culture of safety on-site. Reporting & Documentation Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports across HSE, procurement, project controls, commercial, quality, engineering, and construction disciplines. Work with field teams to resolve technical and constructability challenges. Train and mentor junior and intermediate project staff to enhance team capability. Candidate Requirements: 15 years of construction experience, with at least 10 years as a Project Manager. Relevant post-secondary construction or trades-related education. Project Management certification preferred (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2). Strong background in Power Generation, Oil & Gas, or Heavy Industrial projects. Excellent contractual knowledge and experience in project controls, estimating, scheduling, and tendering. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills. In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and compliance. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and project reporting tools.
